Join us in the final phase of the New Bethlehem Project to build a permanent shelter for Eastside families.

Thank you for your generous support of this project.

The New Bethlehem Project recognizes Christ’s call to serve the poor by being a driving force to  meet the urgent, unmet need for a year-round, 24/7 emergency shelter for families who are experiencing homelessness on the Eastside.  The project’s 3 phases include :

Phase 1 New Bethlehem has welcomed over 600 individuals experiencing homelessness since opening in  November 2016

☑ Phase 2 - Extended the overnight Eastside Emergency Winter Shelter for families. Because of this, 313 individuals did not have to sleep outside from May to October 2017.

☐  Phase 3 - Building a permanent, 24/7 emergency shelter for families who are experiencing homelessness on the Eastside – in progress with fund development, design and construction. Private funding as well as funding from King County and WA State have now been secured. Projected ground breaking is April 2019!
